Delete your account

Delete your account from inside the app

This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately.

• Open the SecuremeVPN app and sign in, if you are not already signed in.
• Go to Settings.
• Tap Delete account.
• Confirm when the app asks. The action cannot be undone from the app.

If you have already uninstalled the app

You do not need to reinstall it. Email support@securemevpn.com from the email address on your account, with the subject Delete my account, or send the same request from our contact page. We will verify that the request comes from the account holder and then delete the account for you.

We acknowledge every request and complete it within 30 days. There is no charge for this.

What happens straight away

• Your account is deactivated.
• All of your devices and any live VPN sessions are removed.
• If you signed in with Apple, we revoke the Sign in with Apple token.

What is deleted, and when

• Within 1 hour — live VPN session records: the device's WireGuard public key, the tunnel address it was assigned, the server, and the last handshake time.
• Within 30 days — your email address, your Apple or Google sign-in identifiers, and your device records are permanently erased. Any remaining billing records are anonymised.
• Within 30 days — technical access logs for our API and website are rotated out on their normal schedule.

During the first 30 days, signing in again restores the account. After 30 days the erasure is permanent and cannot be reversed.

What we keep, and why

• Anonymised billing records. Tax and accounting law requires us to keep a record that a transaction happened. These records no longer identify you.
• Aggregate per-server bandwidth counters. These are totals for a server node, contain no personal data, and were never tied to you.

We never logged your browsing, your DNS queries, your connection history, or your source IP address on our VPN servers, so there is nothing of that kind to delete. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription

Subscriptions are billed by Google Play or the App Store, not by us, so we cannot cancel them on your behalf. Cancel yours first, or you may continue to be charged:

• Google Play: Play Store → profile icon → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → SecuremeVPN → Cancel subscription.
• App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SecuremeVPN → Cancel subscription.

See our Subscription Policy for refunds and billing questions.

Your other rights

As well as deletion, you can ask us for access to, correction of, or an export of your personal data, and you can object to processing. Use the contact page or email support@securemevpn.com from your account email. We respond within 30 days.
